Road trip

Northumberland, Scottish Borders, UK: September 2016

Me and my hubby and a red Fiat 500 hire car, an anniversary jaunt up to Northumberland via Hadrian’s Wall to a coast and castles steeped in history and atmosphere.

And then a quick trip into Scotland. One of those things where you go google the most beautiful places in Scottish border country and then go off and find it. The Tweedsmuir Hills. They say it’s the Highlands in miniature. Not quite, but it certainly gives a feeling of the silence and the stillness.
